The weather was beautiful today… But the fishing hasn’t picked up quite yet…
But it will…
I just found out that I have to get my tonsils out in about two weeks…
That’s probably when the fishing will pick up. That’s my luck…

Good luck with the tonsil surgery. Last year my wife thought it a fine time to drive from our home in Washington all the way back to Wisconsin to see her sister. The trip was three weeks, and totally gut shot the best spring bass fishing. Hope the same doesn’t happen to you.
Me too! I should only be done for 10 days, but the crappie should be coming in to spawn soon… That is if the snow ever stops!
On my favorite smallmouth lake we have a fry they feed on in August and September that is oval shaped, maybe 2 inches long, pearl white with a pale blue back and little side bars the same color. I’ve been told they are crappie fry. The only species in the lake are small and largemouth, perch and crappie. I always thought crappie spawned in the spring, and we don’t have shad or any other type bait fish. Still don’t know for sure.
